Inktober Wrap Up

So, technically I failed Inktober because I did not draw every day. But, in a lot of ways I really won. I drew a lot more than I would have had I not participated, I stepped out of my comfort zone, I sold a couple sketches, and I had fun! That’s a win all around if you ask me!

I did post these on Instagram if you follow me there but I wanted to share some favorites here. Enjoy!

Inktober 2018

Inktober was started in 2009 by an artist named Jake Parker who wanted to improve his inking skills. He set himself a challenge to create one new inked drawing each day of October. In the 9 years since then it has become a global sensation.

It’s a sensation that I have avoided out of fear (and some stubbornness). However, I have been in a real slump lately and I have been feeling the need to step away from the computer and digital art and get back to basics. My need for real life drawing has collided wonderfully with Inktober this year so I’ve decided to go all in!
